Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers has extended its partnership with US food and beverage company Mondelez International, owner of global confectionary brand Cadbury.

The renewal will see Cadbury continue as the club’s official snacking partner for the 2022/23 season.

West Midlands-based Cadbury first partnered with Wolves during the 2020/21 season, with its main focus being on the club’s own charity, the Wolves Foundation. Under terms of the renewal, Cadbury will continue to work with the Foundation to help the local community and provide opportunities and experiences for fans.

The well-known chocolate brand has already donated prizes to the club’s ’12 days of Christmas’ campaign, contributed to the raffle for the Wolves disability team and donated a tour of Molineux to a local school.

Working with the local community will remain at the centre of the partnership, while also using its own Cadbury FC initiative to offer Wolves’ fans prizes, a competition that helps support local businesses.

Commenting on the partnership, Tom Warren, Senior Manager at Wolves Foundation, said, “The support that Wolves Foundation’s projects received from Cadbury last season was fantastic and well received by all the beneficiaries.

“It is exciting that this partnership will continue to benefit local people and we look forward to continuing to work with Cadbury during the 2022/23 season.”

Nick Rogers, Cadbury marketing and sponsorship lead, Northern Europe, added, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with our neighbours and look forward to working closely with the club to support its great work in the community – continuing with the donation of our sponsorship assets to the local community initiatives.

“To date we are so proud of our work with the Wolves Elders, Wolves Foundation and supporting local businesses.”

The Wolves commercial team have had a busy summer. The club agreed a deal with AstroPay that became Wolves’ new shirt sponsor, 12Bet was named the club’s new sleeve sponsor, and US-based cybersecurity providers Arctic Wolf signed a two-year extension to its partnership.
