Digital swing analyser Swingbyte has launched Virtual Coach to analyse a golfer’s swing and identify the most important swing and body faults.
The platform uses artificial intelligence and a machine learning algorithm to identify flaws and maximise a golfer’s skills as well as deliver lessons and drills.
Virtual Coach provides a series of video lessons to improve swing and users can also view their swing in 3D along with swing speed, club path, plane and attack angle.
The platform hopes to transform Swingbyte from a reporting tool to an interactive learning experience.
The Swingbyte sensor attaches to the shaft of a club, captures the motion data, and transmits it to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.
“Up to this point, Swingbyte was a great training tool for the knowledgeable golfer, but helping the average golfer understand and utilise data to correct their swing faults is the next step,” said Alex Pedenko, Swingbyte CEO and co-founder. “Virtual Coach will do just that by providing highly personalised, easy to understand drills and lessons.”
