Talksport Unveils 2013-14 Schedule

talkSPORT has confirmed the latest changes to its programming, just in time for the new Barclays Premier League season, including a new morning line-up, a new weekend breakfast presenter and brand new weekend programming alongside the station’s live football commentary from Saturday.

Broadcaster Johnny Vaughan joins talkSPORT to host a brand new show, ‘The Warm-up with Johnny Vaughan’, every Saturday from 11am -1pm. The show will be a light-hearted look at the weekend’s games speaking to football fans at the heart of the action. Max Rushden will host ‘The Warm-up with Max Rushden’ at the same time on Sundays.

talkSPORT presenter Georgie Bingham joins former Newcastle, Portsmouth and Coventry footballer Micky Quinn as the new host of Weekend Sports Breakfast every Saturday and Sunday at the earlier start time of 7 till 11am, while Mark Saggers will present Sunday Exclusive and Kick Off on Monday to Thursday nights.

The Sony nominated Match Day Live returns from 1pm bringing listeners all the goals from around the grounds plus talkSPORT’s live and exclusive Barclays Premier League commentary at 5.30pm on a Saturday and 1.30pm on a Sunday.

After the live action, starting with Swansea v Manchester United this Saturday, Call Collymore is back at 7.30pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday giving fans the chance to air their views on all of the weekend’s games on the fastest post-match phone-in, hosted by Stan Collymore.

On weekdays, Colin Murray’s new show between 10am-1pm will see him accompanied by guests on each day to discuss the day’s sporting issues. 

Former England and Lions hooker Brian Moore and Perry Groves join him every Monday, Micky Gray and Des Kelly on Tuesdays, former German international Didi Hamann and Steve Bunce on Wednesdays, former Liverpool and Spurs midfielder Danny Murphy and Olympic medalist Kelly Sotherton each Thursday and Perry Groves and Bob Mills rounding off the week each Friday.

The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast (weekdays 6-10am) will also have new guests alongside Alan. Neil Warnock will be in the co-host seat on Mondays and Fridays, ex-England cricketer Dominic Cork on Tuesdays, Tottenham and France legend David Ginola each Wednesday and Brian Moore on Thursdays.

Meanwhile, beginning this Friday, Richard Keys and Andy Gray present their new weekly Friday evening show (7-10pm), providing an in-depth preview of the weekend’s games and speaking to some of the biggest names in sport.

The new additions to the talkSPORT squad give listeners superb insight, analysis and entertainment to help build on the station’s highest ever listening figures.’

The Warm-up with Johnny Vaughan will bring the buzz, the banter and the big dreams of a match day morning to a radio near you.’
