Team Sky Signs Iphone App Deal

Map My Tracks has announced a four year deal with Team Sky, the professional cycling team, that allows its cyclists to use the Map My iphone application OutFront.

The application allows to measure speed, pace, calories burned and elevation gain or loss – and a GPS map tracker.

The deal takes effect immediately and runs through to the end of 2013 during which time Map My Tracks will develop a range of performance web and mobile applications for the Pro Tour cycling team.

The first application, OutFront for the iPhone, is already on the market and will be used in training rides.

Team Sky was recently named among the Tour de France teams for 2010.
