Influence, the integrated marketing, communications and digital group, has been appointed by TeamOrigin to be its sponsorship sales agency in the build-up to the 34th America’s Cup.
Influence will be working closely with TeamOrigin’s in-house marketing and commercial team to identify, engage and contract with team partners and official suppliers.
Partner brands will participate in TeamOrigin’s ‘Race for Change’ programme – a collaboration between sport and the environment that is designed to inspire action on climate change.
TeamOrigin is British America’s Cup challenger headed by Air Miles founder Sir Keith Mills.
The America’s Cup is the one of the oldest global sporting trophies and was first held in the waters off Cowes, Isle of Wight in 1851 – TeamOrigin are aiming to become the first British team to win the America’s Cup since its inception, thereby winning the right to bring the event back to British waters.
An announcement concerning the date and location of the 34th America’s Cup is expected within the next six months.
