Technogym has been announced as a fitness equipment supplier for all athletic preparation centres for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
It’s the sixth time Technogym has been involved with the Olympic Games and while in Rio it will provide a full range of equipment for the main training centre at the Olympic Village in Barra da Tijuca open to all athletes taking part to the Games.

In the gym areas, athletes will find training solutions such as the new SKILLMILL, designed for Athletic Performance Training. They will also be able to train on Excite line products, a range of cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, exercise bikes, cross-trainers) featuring UNITY, the latest generation Android interface and Kinesis that will allow athletes to explore 360° movement to accomplish exercises aimed at improving balance, flexibility and posture; plus a complete set of products for strength and power training.
In addition, Technogym will provide a team of 50 professional athletic trainers to support the athletes as well as all related services (gym layout, installation and technical service).

Ensuring that my strength, power, speed and stamina are at their peak is critical in my performance and using the very best kit in the world is reassuring that my training is as effective as possible.”
Nerio Alessandri, president and founder of Technogym added: “We are very proud to have been chosen for the 6th time as the official supplier of the Olympic Games. This important achievement represents a victory for the whole Technogym team and a strong reference on our products innovation and quality standards” adding “Rio 2016 will also represent a unique social opportunity to promote wellness in Brazil and Latin America and to get increasing numbers of the public interested in regular physical exercise”.
