Technogym Announces Fitness Challenge

Wellness and fitness company, Technogym, has announced its Let’s Move for a Better World challenge, taking place for the third year.

From the 1st to 19th March 2016, gym members in fitness facilities will challenge each other to donate their movement in support of promoting healthy lifestyles in their local community.

MOVEs, Technogym’s unit for measuring movement, will log participants’ activity through the mywellness cloud platform and the top three most active fitness facilities with the highest amount of MOVEs in each country win Technogym funded equipment to donate to a school of their choice.

The 2015 edition of the campaign saw improvements for participating facilities, visits increased by an average of 34%, new memberships increased by 17% and more than three quarters of participants saw a rise in the motivation of existing members.

In addition, the 2015 Let’s Move for a Better World saw 80,000 participants in 17 countries completed more than 315 million MOVEs, burning a total of 140m calories and losing 45,000lbs.
