Ten, the Australian commercial broadcaster, has secured the exclusive rights for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Already owned the rights to the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India, Ten’s deal for 2014 includes free-to-air and subscription broadcast rights, and radio, internet and mobile rights.

The deal comes a week after the broadcaster announced the launch of its new digital 24-hour sports channel, ONE, next year.
