Media reports have suggested that lager brand Tennant’s will replace market rival Carling as the shirt sponsor of Scotland’s top two football clubs, Celtic and Rangers, at the end of the season.
Carling’s deal with the two Glasgow clubs expires at the end of the current season, with Tennent’s reportedly the favourite to step in after its sponsorship of the Scottish national team ends in the summer.
The C&C-owned Tennent’s Scotland’s leading lager brand where it accounts for 55% of all lager sold to the Scottish on-trade in terms of volume.
Rangers’ kit deal with Umbro also runs out at the end of the season.
