The LTA-run Tennis Foundation has launched an ambient advertising campaign on footpaths to raise awareness of the charity and bolster TV audiences for giant outdoor screens showing this year’s Wimbledon Championships.
The campaign uses a jet spray to clean away dirt on public footpaths using a template to leave a ‘clean’ imprint. No chemicals or paint are used to create the outdoor campaign.
The Lawn Tennis Association set up the foundation to encourage people to watch and play tennis. The campaign will direct people to screens showing Wimbledon footage in Portsmouth, Derby, Swindon, Bristol, Plymouth, Liverpool, and London.
It was created by CURB, which specialises in marketing using natural materials. There will be 350 clean ads laid this week in high footfall areas.
