The Football Association has marked the start of the grassroots football season with a short film featuring England midfielder Jordan Nobbs and content creator PK Humble.
The film follows four characters – an organiser, a ringer, a coaching parent and a groundskeeper – in their roles off the pitch and on matchday. It includes appearances from Nobbs, who has played for England since 2010 and currently represents Newcastle United, and PK Humble, who plays for Hashtag United in the non-league system.
Clubs featured in the production include Actonians LFC, Bloomsbury Football, Dulwich Village FC, Petts Wood FC and Wingate & Finchley FC. The film ends with a message of thanks to community figures who contribute to grassroots football.
The FA has reported that more than one million people have supported grassroots football in England each year, with volunteers contributing in roles such as coaching, administration and welfare. The release of the film has come during a period of growth in the women’s game, with the England women’s national team retaining the European Championship title earlier this year.

Director of Football Development for The FA, James Kendall, said, “The magic of grassroots football comes from the people who are part of it – the volunteers, groundskeepers, coaches and players. This film is testament to the tireless efforts of clubs and volunteers across the country as we mark the beginning of the 25/26 season.”
