Thomas Cook Wins 2010 World Cup Tie-up

Sports travel operator Thomas Cook Sport has been appointed as a participating tour operator for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which will see the company operating tours from five European regions.

Thomas Cook Sport will not only be offering Authorised Travel Packages to fans travelling from the United Kingdom but it will also sell packages through its offices in Germany, France, the Netherlands and Sweden.

The announcement is the latest in a series of appointments for Thomas Cook Sport which has also recently been named as the Official Licensed Operator for the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa in 2009 and has established travel partnerships with most of the UK’s leading football clubs including, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Thomas Cook Sport’s Authorised Travel Packages for the 2010 FIFA World Cup are expected to be on sale in Summer 2009.
