Thomson Reuters has announced that it has signed a three-year sponsorship with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

The deal, commencing summer 2010, sees Thomson Reuters become the official statistics and information partner of the recently criticised LTA.

Last month the LTA was criticised by the All-Party Tennis Group for the lack of transparency in its spending and warned that public esteem for the LTA is at an ‘all time low’.

But this deal will come as a boost the Association and Thomson Reuters will have a strong on court presence at the LTA’s major events in June, notably at the AEGON Championships held at The Queen’s Club in West London.

Thomson Reuters will also act as the official scoring partner at the AEGON Championships, alongside other corporate supporters of the Lawn Tennis Association, including BNP Paribas and Highland Spring.

The company will be installing dedicated infopoints at the AEGON Championships, where fans will be offered access to up-to-date information, statistics and analysis of the tournament.
