The ATP has announced that tickets to the 2013 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 in London are now on public sale, which will see the world’s best battle it out for a share of the increased £4 million prize pot.
Tennis fans will be able to secure their place at the season-ending tournament – featuring the world’s top eight singles and doubles teams of the season. Tickets to the tournament, which takes place from 4th-11th November, are now available on the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals website.
Novak Djokovic, the reigning champion and the number one ranked player in the world said: ‘It’s always one of the first goals you set yourself at the start of the year, to be able to qualify to compete in London in November at the season finale. It was an amazing feeling to finish the season by winning the title there last year, and I’ll do everything I can to defend my title in 2013.’
Andre Silva, tournament director, added: ‘London has been a fantastic host for our season-ending event and the fans have come out in huge numbers to support the world’s best players. Last year, over 70,000 tickets had been sold after the first day of the public sale, so we urge fans to act quickly to ensure they don’t miss out on what is shaping up to be another thrilling event.’
The event has attracted more than a million fans to The O2 arena over the past four years and will be played at The O2 through to 2015. This year’s event could see the return of in-form Rafael Nadal, who was forced to miss last year’s tournament due to injury.
