tmrw Sports Unveils Star-studded Investor Group
TMRW Sports, the sports, technology and entertainment company recently launched by golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, has announced a number of high-profile sportspeople as the business’ latest investors.
Northern Irish golfer McIlory and 15-time major winner Woods unveiled the joint venture in August, promising a business that will feature ‘technology-driven ventures with progressive approaches to sports, media and entertainment.’ It has already announced the launch of a new ‘high-tech’ golf league named TGL that will begin in 2024 and target younger fans.
The two golfers are co-founding the company with legendary NBC sports producer Dick Ebersol and CEO Mike McCarley, who will oversee the execution of the company’s vision.
Now, the company has announced a long list of investors that includes some of the biggest names in sport.
Investors include British seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, Welsh footballer Gareth Bale, tennis players Andy Murray and Serena Williams, NBA legend Stephen Curry, NFL quarterback Josh Allen, and McLaren Racing F1 driver Lando Norris.
TMRW Sports has stopped short of revealing any financial information but have described the investment round as the seed stage.
