‘Together Stronger’, the campaign launched by the Welsh FA in 2014, has relaunched ahead of the start of the team’s World Cup qualifying campaign against Moldova on Monday.
The brand, created by Designroom Sport, aimed to “revolutionise the perception of Welsh football”, has since seen record-breaking attendances for the Football Association of Wales (FAW).
Meanwhile, the official Welsh team song for this year’s European Championships borrowed the title of the campaign and was recorded by The Manic Street Preachers.

Now, the new identity sees host country Russia provide the start point for the graphics.
According to Designroom Sport, the idea for the campaign came from ‘Gorau Chwarae Cyd Chwarae’, the motto that has appeared on the Welsh shirt for over 50 years, which translates as ‘Best Play is Team Play’.
Ian Davis, head of commercial and marketing at FAW, commented: “The ‘Together Stronger’ brand has been incredibly successful. It has become a galvanising force for Welsh football and has resonated with everyone; players, fans, press, broadcast, partners and the FAW. We are very excited to launch our new and bold direction for our FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifiers campaign.”

Wales surprised many at Euro 2016 by making the semi-finals in their first appearance at a major tournament in 58 years.
