Sure Run to the Beat, the music focused 10K event in London, has added TomTom as its official technology partner.

TomTom, famous for its navigation systems, now makes GPS sport watches that show runners real time information including distance, time, pace speed and calories burnt, to help improve their performance.

The GPS brand joins Sure, who retains title sponsorship of the race, and Brooks, who came on board earlier this year as official apparel and footwear partner.

Starting and finishing at Wembley Park, 12,500 participants are expected to take part on 13th September 2015. DJs will return to entertain runners at designated points along the course, while headline acts will welcome them across the finish line.

James Robinson, managing director of event organisers IMG Challenger World, said: “With tickets selling fast and fantastic new partners on board, 2015 is set to be a great year for this event. TomTom is a globally renowned brand and the work they are doing in the fitness sector, is really exciting. We’re very much looking forward to collaborating with them as part of Sure Run to the Beat’s growing family”.

Tom Brown, vice-president, TomTom UK, added: “Heart rate training is one of the easiest ways to improve your performance, which is why the built-in heart rate monitor in our Cardio GPS sport watches makes it the perfect training tool for anyone preparing for a 10K race.

“So Sure Run to the Beat and TomTom make the perfect partnership”.
