Tottenham Hotspur have revealed a ‘remastered’ brand identity, which has been designed by London-based brand agency Nomad Studio.

As part of the revamp, the Premier League outfit have unveiled a new club logo, which features the cockerel without the ‘Tottenham Hotspur’ text.

Nomad Studio has also reintroduced the ‘THFC’ monogram logo which originates from the 1950’s, as well as revealing a silhouette emblem, and a suite of new hallmarks.

These include features such as North London’s Seven Sisters Trees and Bruce Castle, and 1882, the year in which the club was founded.

The monogram logo has been brought back, in a nod to the club’s history.

When developing the club’s new brand identity over the last nine months, Nomad Studio collated research from more than 300 past and present Spurs players, as well as coaches, key staff, and fan groups.

The new branding is currently being rolled out across Spurs’ digital platforms, throughout Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and along Tottenham High Road.

“The reimagined brand embraces all the excitement, all the innovation and shows that we’re going to be brave, we’re going to be exciting and we’re going to have some fun – this is where we should be with our brand right now,” said Donna-Maria-Cullen, Executive Director at Tottenham Hotspur.

“We have taken aspects from our history, our emblems, our imagery and we’ve taken them forward – we’ve now got something that we have built from listening to everyone at the club, on and off the pitch, and the consistent message coming through.

“This is something that everyone can unite behind.”

Spurs have also revealed a new club font, as part of the new-look visual identity.

Terry Stephens, Co-Founder at Studio Nomad, added, “Spurs has set a benchmark for how modern football clubs are run, which in turn places new demands on its brand.

“Working closely with the club we helped define a clear North Star and a visual and verbal identity that ties together everything they do on and off the pitch.”
