Tottenham Hotspur has signed an agreement with oil and gas company BP that designates BP Pulse as the electric vehicle (EV) charging partner of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The sustainability-focused deal also sees Castrol become an official partner of Spurs’ men’s and women’s teams.

BP Pulse will collaborate with Spurs to extend EV charging stations throughout the club’s sites, as part of an aim to reduce the club’s environmental impact across its operations, and to help reduce the number of fans travelling by private cars on match-days.

The partnership will also see Castrol launch an ‘Away Fans Travel Fund’ with the North London club, in order to promote shared travel for fans travelling to away fixtures for both men’s and women’s fixtures. The club says that further details of this funs will be revealed in due course.

Castrol will also aim to engage with Spurs fans and customers via digital promotions and international activations.

Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer at Tottenham Hotspur, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with yet another world-renowned brand in bp.

“The partnership will offer exciting opportunities for our fans and customers across the globe, while helping supporters travel to our matches sustainably through subsidised, shared travel and increased EV provision.”

Nicola Buck, Senior Vice President of Marketing for BP, added, “With our history of football partnerships, we’re delighted to unite with Tottenham Hotspur. As a brand that values performance and innovation we see a natural alignment with the Club’s values and aspirations.

“This partnership not only gives us the opportunity to connect with football fans globally, it gives us a great opportunity to bring our customers and consumers closer to the action on the football pitch too.”
