Tough Mudder And Spartan Launch New Charity Partnership Platforms

Global fitness brands Tough Mudder and Spartan have launched new charity partnership platforms in the UK.

The two new offerings, entitled ‘Mud with Meaning’ and ‘Race for a Cause’ respectively, will see Tough Mudder and Spartan extend their support for charity fundraising. The global event portfolios say they have helped raise more than £20 million for a range of local and national charities over the past 10 years.

With live events set to return in 2021, both Mud With Meaning and Race for a Cause open up opportunities for tens of thousands of participants to raise funds for a number of causes and to help UK Charities rebound following the coronavirus pandemic.

Specifically, the platforms aim to provide charities with the opportunity to collaborate with one or both of Tough Mudder and Spartan, allowing their communities to come together and take on world-class, challenging obstacle courses for fundraising, fitness and fun.

Tough Mudder and Spartan Managing Director, Matt Brooke, sees the new partnership offering as a momentous step for both brands. He said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charitable fundraising with the loss of billions in income for the sector through cancelled participation events.

“Knowing our brands have an incredible track record when it comes to fundraising, we felt compelled to launch a platform that will drive real engagement, reach and noise for our UK charities and one which we hope can further amplify their in-house fundraising endeavours.

In February 2020, Sport Industry NextGen partner Spartan acquired Tough Mudder UK, retaining its existing London-based team.
