The route for this year’s Tour of Britain cycling race has been unveiled by the
organisers with the event due to begin in London on Sunday, 9th September.
The race starts in Crystal Palace Park with it’s first-ever prologue time
trial followed by six stages around England and Scotland.
The first stage runs from Reading to Southampton, followed by Yeovil to
Taunton, Worcester to Wolverhampton, and Rotherham to Bradford.
Stage five is from Liverpool to Kendal, and stage six from Dumfries to
Glasgow.
London is also scheduled to host the opening stage of this year’s Tour de
France on 7th July.
