Tourism Ireland Hires Img For PR Brief

Tourism Ireland has appointed IMG Consulting on a PR brief to promote Ireland as one of the leading golf destinations for the UK market. 


IMG Consulting has worked with Tourism Ireland to develop a marketing and PR strategy to support Golf Ireland’s new brand identity, a Time to Play.


The new campaign positions Ireland as a unique destination that provides visitors with a golfing challenge and guarantees fun, both on and off the course.


IMG has strong experience in golf and the project will see close involvement from IMG’s Golf division.


Golf is one of Ireland’s greatest tourist attractions, contributing an estimated €110m to the economy: the Irish golfing community meets and welcomes almost 150,000 visitors annually across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.


Ireland has over 400 golf courses, from parkland to links, including internationally renowned venues such as Royal Portrush and The K Club, which played host to the 2006 Ryder Cup.
