Toyota GB and Team GB have partnered to launch an out of home sports and fitness campaign ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Together with digital out-of-home specialists Ocean Outdoor, the campaign will culminate in The Nation’s Biggest Sports Day on Saturday 24th August, which will see events take place across the UK. The flagship event takes place at Westfield London and will be a free event featuring fitness activities, entertainment and food with Team GB athletes led by four-time Olympic gold medallist Laura Kenny – Britain’s most successful female Olympian.
With the aim of encouraging more people to embrace active lifestyles and promoting local sports and grassroots community groups, Toyota GB’s experiential activation will allow fans to print a selfie to show their support for Team GB and have their photo form part of a giant mosaic featuring Laura Kenny.
Tom Whiteside, Toyota GB sponsorship manager and Sport Industry NextGen Leader 2017 said: “As an Official Partner of Team GB, it has been hugely beneficial to be able to work with another member of the Team GB partner stable in Ocean Outdoor, which has enabled us to grow awareness of the ‘I Am Team GB’ participation campaign significantly by utilising their digital OOH network.”
