Trafigura Completes Lions Sponsors

Oil, metals and minerals commodities trader Trafigura has filled the fourth and final sponsorship slot for the British & Irish Lions rugby union tour of South Africa this summer.

The deal, brokered by the Lions’ exclusive commercial partners Essentially, sees Trafigura join British Airways, Guinness and Cape Wines as official sponsors.

HSBC has taken the principal sponsor slot for the tour with adidas signed up as the official kit sponsor, completing the Lions’ commercial family.

The Lions also has eight official suppliers that will provide technical support to the team on tour with further sponsorship announcements on this level to be announced in the coming weeks.
