Trivandi has acquired sustainability company the Bulb to drive transformation across their major events, venues, destinations, and sports organisations
This partnership will aim to blend the Trivandi’s extensive operational experience with the Bulb’s sustainability knowledge, enhancing the London-based company’s ability to create forward-thinking strategies that deliver actionable solutions.
In addition to this partnership, Co-founder and CEO of The Bulb, Selina Donald has become Trivandi’s Director of Sustainability, as well as a member of the executive committee.
Within the previous year,the firm’s staff have doubled across three offices in London, Dubai and Riyadh as well as establishing the Trivandi Academy to drive professionalisation of the industry and launching its inaugural Major Events 101 training course.

London Marathon Events (LME) has taken over the ownership of Caledonian Concepts and Loch Ness Marathon Ltd.
Through its acquisitions, LME will provide investment into the Scottish mass participation events, as well as offering its own expertise.
Founded by Malcolm and Caroline Sutherland in 2006, Caledonian Concepts and Loch Ness Marathon Ltd host the Loch Ness Marathon, Etape Loch Ness, and Inverness Half Marathon, which together attracted more than 19,880 participants in 2024, while raising around £1m for charities across the Highlands, Scotland, and the UK.

Since its inception, the Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running has generated more than £14.5 million in charitable donations.
“Caledonian Concepts and Loch Ness Marathon Ltd share our passion to inspire people of all ages and abilities to become active and to use sport and activity to transform lives,” said Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events.
“They work closely with the local community to produce events that have a unique feel and relationship to local businesses and the area. We pledge to continue their work and build on all they have done.”
Southend United have secured new investment from US technology entrepreneur Shivaas Gulati.
The investor joins Justin Rees’ consortium, which took over the National League club in the summer.
In July, Custodians of Southend United (COSU) bought the club from long-time owner Ron Martin, following years of financial issues.
“I’ve been impressed by all the work COSU and the team have already done in a short period of time, and the potential we have in front of us to make this one of the most sustainable and modern clubs in the country,” Gulati said.

Having co-founded independent money transfer company Remitly in 2011, Gulati left the firm in 2022 to explore new opportunities.
His undisclosed investment in the Shrimpers comes with a place on the club’s board of directors.

The International Padel Federation (FIP) has announced the launch of a new inter-continental cup competition which has been described as ‘the equivalent of tennis’ Laver Cup and golf’s Ryder Cup.’
Taking place biennially, the tournament will see top and emerging players from the Americas compete against Europe, with the first competition commencing in 2025.
FIP has claimed that the move also ‘signals padel’s readiness for inclusion in the Olympics.’
The new format will be organised with the support of FIP’s continental federations Padel Europe and Padel America, with a men’s and women’s competition running simultaneously and an equally distributed prize purse of €700,000.
Hosting will rotate between venues across the Americas and Europe, with tenders for locations, branding, promoters and partnerships ‘starting shortly.’
Global sport organisations have taken historic action to create Fields of Change, the first ever sustainability resource for grassroots organisations.
Fields of Change has been designed by Football For Future and Common Goal, to inspire sport for good organisations worldwide to integrate environmental sustainability into their projects and communities.
Thee social and environmental impact collective has been supported by Adidas under the company’s Move for the Planet platform.
The Fields of Change handbook has for the first time, provided with the tools to adapt to climate change and challenges while driving meaningful environmental action.

Hull City have inked a three-year partnership with Hytro, the Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) wearable brand.
Hytro’s BFR will play a pivotal role in optimising player performance and recovery, starting from the 2024/25 season.
The wearables will be worn by the entire men’s squad, supporting their training and recovery protocols and through the inclusion of the BFR technology into daily training, players will benefit from enhanced strength, endurance, and faster recovery times.

Super League Basketball has penned a multi-year partnership making Molten’s ball the official game ball in both the men’s and women’s leagues from 2024/25 season.
