England and Warwickshire batsman Jonathan Trott has signed with Birmingham-based Eleven 01, which will see the sports management agency take over the player’s commercial and sponsorship rights, in addition to current agreements with New Balance, MetLife and London Evening Standard.
A key member of the England team since scoring a century on his Test Match debut in 2009 against Australia, the 32-year-old has made over 100 international appearances.
The 2011 ICC Cricketer of the Year is also one of only two batsmen in the world with an average of over 50 in both the Test and One Day formats of the game.
Jonathan Trott commented: ‘I am delighted to be represented by Eleven 01 Management and look forward to working with them through this exciting summer and beyond. It is good to work with a company that has fresh ideas as well as a great knowledge of the cricket market.’
‘As a cricketer who is continually on the road both on home soil and overseas, it is important to have a reliable and efficient team behind me who can manage my time well. Hopefully this will be the start of a big partnership.’
Managing director of Eleven 01 Management, James McLaughlin, added: ‘Eleven 01 is excited to be working with one of the world’s best batsmen. Not only was Jonathan England’s top run scorer in the ICC Champions Trophy and subsequently included in the ICC’s Team of the Tournament, he has also currently scored the most runs in International cricket to date this year.’
‘Hopefully he will continue his fine form in the upcoming Ashes series this summer and in Australia later in the year. I look forward to developing further long term commercial partnerships with Jonathan in addition to his current major agreements with global companies.’
