London-based data driven sport agency Two Circles has been appointed by Eredivisie club FC Utrecht to place insight in its strategy and help the club increase supporter engagement and commercial performance.

FC Utrecht is looking to grow match day attendances at Stadion Glagenwaard and increase understanding of the club’s supporters.

To assist the club’s plans Two Circles – named Agency of the Year at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2014 – will provide ongoing analysis to enable the club to improve communication with the right messages, leading to better fan engagement and match day experiences.

The London based agency has been helping rights holders develop commercial propositions through building relationships with supporters since 2011.

Folke Nagtegaal, head of marketing at FC Utrecht, said, “We are very pleased with the work that the partnership with Two Circles has delivered so far. We wanted to approach this season in a different way and are already seeing the results. FC Utrecht has already been able to gain a deeper level of customer insight. This is an innovative development not only for FC Utrecht but for Dutch football.”

Kristian Gotsch, lead consultant at Two Circles, added: “Two Circles is delighted to be working with FC Utrecht, a club with great potential on and off the pitch. Our experience in this area has allowed us to build strong campaigns around actionable insight and we are looking forward to helping the club break new ground and get closer to its supporters and achieve its commercial goals.”
