Uefa And UK Police Target Illegal Ticketing

UEFA and the UK police force have moved to clamp down on companies illegally
selling on tickets to the UEFA Champions League final by issuing a joint warning
letter to the parties concerned.

The letter makes it clear that such activity is illegal and that such illicit
sale of tickets undermines the safety and segregation of fans, potentially
causing significant public disorder and safety issues.

The European football governing body has joined forces with UK police to
stamp out the activity following the introduction of a new legislation last
month which makes it a criminal offence for an unauthorised person to sell a
ticket for a designated football match.

UEFA continuously monitors the ticket sales procedure and found a number of
offences in the UK for the upcoming Champions League final on 23rd May where
Liverpool will take on AC Milan in Athens.
