Ahead of the draw for the Europa League’s group stage, UEFA unveiled the artwork for the 2020 final in Gdansk in a similar manner to the announcement of the Champions League identity a day earlier. The Europa League final brand identity, developed in collaboration with UEFA’s marketing partner, TEAM Marketing AG, and branding agency Turquoise, will be used on a variety of promotional materials in the lead up to the game which is scheduled to take place in the Polish city on 27th May 2020.

Meanwhile, UEFA has also announced the topics discussed by the Professional Football Strategy Council (PFSC), which met in Monaco on the day of the Champions League group stage draw.

At the meeting, players’ union FIFPro presented its study examining the impact of the quantity, intensity and frequency of matches on players’ health and sporting performance, while the growing professionalisation of the women’s game was discussed by the council.
