UEFA has released a new flagship television commercial for this summer’s UEFA EURO 2020.
Production agency Shoot the Company – which is a long-standing partner of European football’s governing body – created the new video, which is designed to bring football and fans back together again, and connect them with the game.
A collection of the best European players – including Harry Kane, Paul Pogba, Gini Wijnaldum and Bruno Fernandes – are ‘united’ on screen with the fans, to mark the rescheduled tournament, as well as remembering the fans who will not be able to attend games at the competition, which is taking place in front of reduced capacity crowds in 11 different locations across the continent.
Shoot the Company recently launched the feature film OUTRAGED for UEFA, which tackles discrimination in football, as well as exploring some of the world’s biggest footballers’ attitudes to racism, sexism, homophobia, and refugee inclusion, while discussing what else can be done to eradicate hate from the game.
