UK Athletics Championships Gets New Title Sponsor
UK Athletics has named Microplus as the title sponsor of the 2024 edition of the UK Athletics Championships.
The event will take place at the Manchester Regional Arena from 29th to 30th June, and will comprise of 41 different competitions, serving as a trial for the year’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This marks the latest collaboration between the two parties, after data processing and timing firm Microplus previously served as the title sponsor for the UK Athletics Indoor Championships in February.
Microplus has operated at a number of high profile sporting events for more than two decades, including the Commonwealth Games and Mediterranean Games, supplying its Central Results System (CRS), Timing & Scoring On Venus Results System (OVR), and Commentator Information System (CIS).
The Italian company first partnered with UK Athletics in 2022.
Cherry Alexander, Strategic Lead for Major Events at UK Athletics, said, “We have a strong partnership with Microplus which has developed at our national championships over the last few years, and we are thrilled to be continuing that at this prestigious event in the summer.
“We would like to extend our thanks to Microplus for their support and we are thrilled to be working with them at the Championships in Manchester next month.”
