UK Athletics (UKA) and Red Bull have extended their multi-year partnership, making Red Bull the ‘official energy drink to UKA’.
The £400,000 deal, which follows the existing four year partnership between the sports governing body and the energy drink, will run from 2009 through to 2013.
The deal gives Red Bull the exclusive rights to provide energy drinks and drink stations across UKA offices, coaching staff, and high performance centres across the country; including training camps, conferences, and squads.
Working directly with UKA athletes, Red Bull will also provide nutritional and performance support programmes on a year- long basis.
In addition, the brand will provide product for all UKA competitions. Red Bull will also have a strong in-field presence at all UKA televised events and retain exclusivity in the warm-up and in-field areas of stadia.
The UKA outdoor season starts with the Aviva World Trials & UK Championships in Birmingham on 10, 11 and 12 July at the Birmingham Alexander Stadium.
