UK Athletics Strikes Channel 4 Deal
UK Athletics has struck a deal with terrestrial broadcaster Channel 4 to screen live coverage of the 2009 Aviva European Indoor Trials & UK Championships meeting.
The governing body has confirmed that the partnership with Channel Four now means that all the major events in its annual series will have a live TV platform.
Scheduled for the weekend of the 14th and 15th February at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield the Aviva European Indoor Trials & UK Championships will feature a number of Britain’s Beijing medallists including Natasha Danvers who will compete in the 800m.
Channel Four will show an hour of live action on Saturday 14th and one hour fifteen minutes on Sunday 15th. A schedule of highlight programmes will be also be aired across the following week.
