League of Tolerance (LOFT), a Ukrainian sport for social change non-profit organisation, needs your support.
LOFT uses the playground as a platform to promote human rights education through sport in inclusive and accessible ways.
In 2020, LOFT was shortlisted at the Beyond Sport Global Awards, with judges recognising the organisation’s cutting-edge model that creates respectful intercultural dialogue within communities and outlines practical steps to build “a capacity for tolerance”.
LOFT is currently working round the clock with limited resources to provide support where possible amid the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
LOFT is running an emergency support service for families with children, mostly with disabilities, and is providing transportation, hot meals, nappies, medicine, warm clothes and physical support during border crossings.
They have already helped about 100 people from 18 families to head to the west of Ukraine, while seven families have already crossed the border into Poland.

On announcing the new appeal, League of Tolerance Founder, Oleksandr Fomichov, said, “These are difficult times for everybody, but your support can save lives and give hope for those who are suffering the most. War is merciless, but it is also the time when people help each other and do not stand aside. It is in our power to help people with disabilities and their families – and empower them to take life-changing steps towards safety.”
