Ulster Rugby has penned a multi-year kit deal with UK sportswear brand Castore, taking effect from the 2024/25 season.

Manchester-based Castore will take over from Kukri to supply Ulster’s men’s, women’s and youth team kits.

The deal includes a special edition home kit for next season, which will celebrate Ulster’s centenary year at its Ravenhill home ground, as well as training and leisure apparel and merchandise.

As per the agreement, Castore will also manage Ulster’s online retail platforms, and will oversee the club’s distribution and fulfilment channels.

The new range of club-branded products will be available for purchase across Castore’s global retail network, and at the team’s store at Kingspan Stadium.

Although terms of the deal were not revealed, the Belfast Telegraph reports that the partnership came at a discounted rate, after Ulster had agreed to a deal in principal with Italian brand Kappa which fell through, prompting the club to seek alternative options.

Castore supplies fellow Irish provincial rugby union club Leinster, as well as Premiership Rugby teams Saracens, Harlequins and Bath Rugby.

The company’s expansive partnership roster also includes Formula One champions Red Bull Racing, Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, British tennis icon Sir Andy Murray and England Cricket.

“Castore is proud to partner with winning teams across a number of global sports, and we are humbled that Ulster Rugby has placed its trust in us,” said Tom Beahon, Co-Founder of Castore.

“While Castore is a young company seeking to disrupt the establishment of the global sports apparel market, we recognise Ulster Rugby’s storied history and its commitment to long term partnerships, and we are looking forward to working together to bring future success to the club.”
