To raise money for Prostate Cancer UK (PCUK), Vanarama, sponsors of The National League, is asking football fans to #WearTheWig this Non-League Day, which takes place on 10th October.
Working with PCUK, Vanarama will be donating £100 for every football club and £10 for every fan who post a picture of themselves wearing a bright orange wig, using the hashtag #WearTheWig.
As part of the campaign, Vanarama will also be donating a further £500 for each celebrity that gets involved.
Andy Alderson, CEO & founder of Vanarama says: “We have a strong partnership with football here at Vanarama, so when we heard that Non-League Day were partnering with Prostate Cancer UK, we couldn’t wait to get involved.
“Non-League Day is an annual event that encourages fans of Premier League and Football League teams to support their local team when their main club isn’t playing. The league has always had a great response, so this year we’re asking fans to not only pledge their allegiance to their local team but to also support Men United by helping us raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.”
Steve Mark, brand manager at Vanarama says: “We really believe in supporting the grassroots of Great Britain – whether it’s enabling small business owners to grow and develop through our van leasing or encouraging people to cheer on their local football team. Whether you’re starting a business or performing on the pitch, we know that the right support can make a big difference and saw this campaign as a great way to have some fun and raise some money for a fantastic cause.”
