England fans showed their support during Friday’s 5-0 win against San Marino via Vauxhall’s dedicated England football twitter account last week, and the England team sponsor is now encouraging fans to do the same for tonight’s World Cup qualifying match against Poland.
Vauxhall called on fans to show their #support and get involved via the hashtag and the twitter account – @VauxhallEngland.
According to the car manufacturer, throughout the England Under 21 fixture against Serbia and England versus San Marino game at Wembley on Friday night England, fans joined in the debate, voicing their opinions on the game in real time on twitter.
Simon Culley, Home Nations marketing manager, Vauxhall, said: ‘Vauxhall’s social media strategy is focussed on engagement with the fans through our various platforms but this is the first time we have included some of our match day inventory to support the programme.’
‘For example we used the Vauxhall pitch side LED space to prompt the audience to get involved and show their support with various themes during the game.’
