Sunglasses brand VeloChampion has signed up as a new sponsor of this year’s Aviva Tour of Britain, which starts in Anglesey next month.
Since launching in 2012, VeloChampion was originally designed for multiple Olympic, world and national champion Nicole Cooke, the products are now worn by the VCUK-Champion System team in races across the UK and Ireland.
Maxgear UK director Ciaran Dunne commented: “We are excited to be sponsoring this year’s Aviva Tour of Britain which will feature some of the world’s top professional teams. Since introducing the World Cup sunglasses to the VeloChampion range of accessories we have had lots of positive reviews and feedback from top riders.
“Our sunglasses use the latest lens, optics, coatings and frame technologies and we are confident that this British cycling brand will soon be a world leader in sports sunglasses. We view the Aviva Tour of Britain as the ideal platform to showcase our growing range of sunglasses to a national and international audience.”
Alastair Grant, commercial director of Sweetspot Group, organisers and promoter of the Aviva Tour of Britain, added: “We are delighted to have joined up with VeloChampion and that they have chosen to use the Aviva Tour of Britain as the perfect promotional platform this September. Fans of the race can look forward to having the opportunity to win VeloChampion sunglasses thanks to the partnership.”
