Virgin Atlantic is to fly the England team to South Africa this summer after announcing a partnership deal with The Football Association to be the official airline supplier to the England World Cup squad.
Virgin Atlantic will provide the England team with its own plane which will fly direct from London Heathrow to Johannesburg on 3rd June, ready for the kick-off of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa on 11th June.
The Airbus A340-600 will carry Fabio Capello and his 23 man squad along with its key support team.
The in-flight menu will be tailored specifically to the players’ requirements.
England’s first match is against the USA on 12th June in Rustenburg.
