Virgin Trains has moved quickly to celebrate England’s npower Ashes series victory with a tactical marketing campaign that pokes fun at the losing Australian side.
The campaign, which makes a humourous aside aimed at Australia captain Ricky Ponting who was run out by England star Andrew Flintoff on the final day of the 5th Test, has the strapline ‘Quick single for Ponting?’.
Virgin Trains has a history of previously running tactical ad campaigns relating to breaking news stories.
