Visa Names Rwc 2007 Ambassadors
Visa has unveiled its ‘Rugby Legends’ line-up which will act as ambassadors for the brand’s sponsorship of next year’s Rugby World Cup.
Zinzan Brooke (New Zealand), John Eales (Australia), Martin Johnson (England), Philippe Sella (France) and Joel Stransky (South Africa) will act as official spokesmen for Visa for the build-up to and during the tournament itself.
As spokespersons for Visa, the Visa Rugby Legends will be visible in a number of Visa merchant and cardholder promotions. Each of the Legends also will be featured in a number of promotional programmes, including communications to Visa’s 20,000 member financial institutions, advertisements and television commercials.
The Visa Rugby Legends will also be in a number of online activities including an online debate forum in which the Visa Rugby Legends will pose specific topics of interest to the rugby community inviting fans to engage and participate.
Visa renewed its sponsorship of the Rugby World Cup to incorporate next year’s event at the end of 2005 and will have category exclusivity in the payment services category.
