Vision 1 Racing, the women’s cycling team that includes British rider Nicole Cooke, will not race for the remainder of the year due to financial problems.
Cooke will compete in Team GB colours for the remainder of the season after the squad’s racing calendar for the rest of the campaign was been shelved as a principal sponsor is sought for the team to allow it to continue.
The Olympic and world champion formed the team along with manager Stefan Wyman less than 12 months ago.
Wyman quit the Vision 1 team in May saying he and the team had parted on ‘good terms’ and he wished them ‘all the success in the world for the remainder of the season’.
