Run to the Beat powered by Nike+, London’s only music half marathon, has announced a new two-year partnership with Vita Coco Coconut Water – coming on board as the Official Hydration Partner.
The event, taking place in London on 8th September, will now offer runners on the 13.1 mile course Vita Coco, a natural alternative to sports hydration.
Pip Brook -European marketing director at Vita Coco, said: ‘We are thrilled to be partnering with Run to the Beat powered by Nike+ as the Official Hydration Partner. We’re seeing an increasing number of people looking for a more natural alternative when it comes to their sports hydration so Run To The Beat powered by Nike+ is a natural fit for our brand.’
The 2013 event will see new changes to the half marathon course as it now starts and finishes in the scenic grounds of Greenwich Park, with DJ stages set-up at key points along the course to keep runners motivated all the way to the finish.
In previous years, acts have included DJ Fresh, Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah, plus new talent on the UK DJ scene. The music line-up for this year’s event will be announced via the event’s official website.
This year’s Run to the Beat powered by Nike+ also has an increased capacity, with up-to 19,000 runners set to take part in 2013.
As Official Hydration Partner, Vita Coco Coconut Water will join Nike+ (Title Sponsor), Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (Official Charity Partner), City Showcase (Official Music Managers), Virgin Money Giving (Official Fundraising Partner), Clash (Official Media Partner), Runner’s World (Official Media Partner), Women’s Health (Official Media Partner), Men’s Health (Official Media Partner) and Marathon Photos (Official Photography Partner) as sponsors of the Challenger World’s portfolio of London’s Music Half Marathon.
