Vodafone And ECB To End Partnership

The English cricket team is now on the search for a new sponsor after Vodafone, which has partnered with the team since 1996, announced it will not renew its deal.

After the current contract runs out in 13 months, the phone company will terminate its relationship with the England and Wales Cricket Board following England’s tour of South Africa in January 2010.

Though it appears the two parties have chosen to part ways amicably – both claiming that partnership has been a success and that the contract over the next year will be fulfilled – it leaves the ECB to look for a key sponsor during a time when the financial climate is still uncertain.
