Warwickshire County Cricket Club has agreed a one-year extension to its partnership with Broadway Casino to be the club’s official casino partner for 2016.

The club has been working in partnership with Broadway Casino, based in Birmingham city centre, for two years and the new package ensures hospitality and promotional rights for Edgbaston’s match days in 2016.

This year Edgbaston hosts England in the third Investec Test match against Pakistan and the second Royal London One Day International versus Sri Lanka as well as NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.

Gareth Roberts, commercial director at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Broadway Casino is a fantastic casino and leisure venue in central Birmingham and we are grateful for its continued support.

“As part of developing the partnership, we are looking at bringing elements of the Broadway Casino’s offering to Edgbaston, particularly the free and fun casino as an option for our conference and banqueting events as well as Birmingham Bears home games in the NatWestT20 Blast. We’re delighted to continue working together.”

Charles Griffin, general manager, Broadway Casino, commented: “Edgbaston is one of the most iconic sports venues in the country and its international fixtures provide Broadway Casino with a great opportunity to reach new audiences.

“We’re thrilled to extend the partnership and continuing our relationship with Gareth and his team.”

As part of the England & Wales Cricket Board’s staging agreement, Edgbaston will host 35 days of major match cricket over the next four years with an Investec Test match each year and five games in both the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
