Warwickshire County Cricket Club has hired advertising agency Vallance
Carruthers Coleman Priest (VCCP) to lead all the club’s marketing and
advertising strategies.

VCCP will work on a variety of advertising opportunities for the club around
the hosting of international Tests and one-day games at the Edgbaston ground as
well as sponsorship initiatives around the county team over the next three
years.

Edgbaston will host an England Test against South Africa and a one-day
international with New Zealand among next year’s international fixtures as well
as an Ashes Test in 2009.

VCCP will work on helping position the ground as a year-round venue and will
run a series of campaigns to demonstrate how major brands can achieve successful
exposure there.

The agency will also create a new corporate style for the club and develop
its brand proposition.

VCCP has a history of cricket involvement and supported the setting up of the
London County Cricket Club (LCCC), an organisation set up to search for future
cricketing talent. The agency is now sponsoring Indian cricket star Anil Kumble
and its logo appears on his bat.
