Wasps Netball has announced a partnership with car manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover as its official main partner in a multi-year deal, which will see them sponsor the new kit.
This move sees Jaguar Land Rover build on their already established partnership with the Wasps family as partners of the Wasps rugby team.
The new netball kit will reflect the black and gold of Wasps and be produced by sport brand Gilbert, and will be worn throughout the Vitality Netball Superleague season.
The University of Warwick has also been announced as Wasps Netball Club partner, while DS Smith has enhanced its current partnership with Wasps rugby by extending its support to Wasps Netball. All three parties will feature on the new kit.
David Armstrong, group chief executive officer, Wasps said: “This is a historic moment for netball in the West Midlands, and everyone can’t wait for our first home match on 5th March.
“As we launch our new Netball kit we are proud to announce that we have partnered up with Jaguar Land Rover, DS Smith and the University of Warwick for the season ahead.
“Jaguar Land Rover will be one of the biggest club partners in the Superleague and we hope that working alongside businesses such as theirs we can really raise the profile of netball in the UK.
“We’re also grateful to the University of Warwick for becoming our official training base and providing top class facilities to the team.
“We are trying to build a winning club here and having these great companies supporting us in a variety of ways is crucial to achieving that – ensuring a bright future for Wasps Netball.”
Mark Cameron, experiential marketing director, Jaguar Land Rover said: “We’re delighted to be joining forces with the Midlands’ newest professional sports team.”
The squad will wear the new kit for the first time on 21st February when they take on Sirens at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena.
Hellen Manufor, brand manager, Gilbert Netball added: “We think the new Wasps Netball kit will go down a real treat with fans and players alike.
“It provides the right balance of eye-catching style with light, breathable fabric to deliver the best comfort and support for elite athletes while competing out on court.”
