Wasserman Media Group has expanded its European Football practice with the appointment of a number of highly-rated consultants including Chiel Dekker in the Netherlands and Frederic Dobraje, Gregory Dakad, Cedric Mazet and David Martinez in France.

In addition to the UK, where it represents Jack Wilshere, Steven Gerrard, Jermain Defoe and Phil Neville amongst a large stable of players, the agency now has football management representatives in the US, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and Spain.

Wasserman’s international football expansion is being headed up by Paul Martin, EVP, Managing Executive for Global Football, who said: ‘The continued development of our European football leadership is a priority for our business and we’re delighted to welcome Chiel, Frederic, Gregory, Cedric and David to Wasserman. Their market experience within their territories will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow our presence across Europe.’

Mike Watts, Chief Operating Officer for Wasserman, added: ‘Having a strong presence not only in the UK but across Europe in all of the major leagues is paramount for the company. The appointment of these five consultants gives us a great opportunity to manage the careers of the leading Ligue 1 and Eredivisie players locally, which we see as a huge advantage for both the athletes and for Wasserman.’
