For the fifth consecutive year, brand experience agency Wasserman Media Group will transform The O2 in London into the stage for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
The tournament, which runs from 4th – 11th November, sees 30 matches between the world’s top eight men’s singles players and doubles teams, in a round-robin and knockout format.
Wasserman Media Group will work with the ATP to manage the experience from concept to onsite delivery, managing the pre-match player choreography, special effects and screen content for both the daily shows and final presentation ceremonies.
Fans will experience a daily pre-match show with special effects, lighting, projections, player introductions, bespoke video content and experiential activities. In addition, Wasserman Media Group will assist the ATP in designing and installing some sections of the tournament sponsor hospitality areas within The O2.
Tournament managing director, Chris Kermode said: ‘Since 2009, over 1,000,000 fans have attended the tournament, achieving an unprecedented number of sold-out crowds and making it the biggest indoor tennis tournament ever staged in the world. The success of the tournament lies in giving fans an outstanding experience and to present the tennis in an entertaining way. The team at Wasserman Media Group continue to do a great job at delivering this entertainment, ensuring that for one week in November, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals becomes the focus of the sports and entertainment world.’
Fred Porro, senior vice president of Wasserman Media Group’s Experience division, said: ‘To be involved with the ATP for the fifth consecutive year is something we are very proud of. Each year we work with the organisers to bring fans a truly unique and memorable tennis experience and we are once again thrilled to be part of creating the biggest indoor tennis tournament in the world.’
