Barclays Premier League side West Bromwich Albion has announced a new shirt sponsorship deal with online property search company Zoopla.
The deal, which officially begins from 1st June, will see the UK-based company’s logo and web address printed on the Baggies’ kit for the next two seasons, while additional branding will also feature throughout the clubs home ground at the Hawthorns.
Albion’s official website describes the deal as ‘the largest sponsorship deal in their history’ although exact financial terms have not been released.
Zoopla replaces online gaming company Bodog as the official shirt sponsor.
WBA chief executive Mark Jenkins said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Zoopla as our new principal club sponsor. It represents the most comprehensive sponsorship deal in the club’s history and we have been impressed by the approach that Zoopla have taken to supporting the club.’
Alex Chesterman, founder and chief executive of Zoopla, added: ‘We are very excited to be partnering with West Bromwich Albion, a family club with a rich heritage and some of the best fans in football. This deal will help raise our brand awareness and reach a huge audience, and is a further step in our mission to make Zoopla.co.uk a household name, synonymous with online property search and research.’
‘Our agent advertisers will benefit greatly from the national brand exposure of this partnership as we further cement our position as their most valued marketing partner. We are looking forward to working closely with West Bromwich Albion to ensure this is a highly beneficial relationship for both parties.’
West Brom finished tenth in the Premier League table last season, and are currently without a manager after boss Roy Hodgson left the club to take charge of England ahead of Euro 2012.
